Reuse of Raw Materials as an Example of Good Corporate Practice

Reuse of Raw Materials as an Example of Good Corporate Practice

Over its two-decade history, the company Letač has not only succeeded in its projects but also maintained a strong commitment to resource conservation and environmental protection. Like every construction company, we also bear the responsibility to care for nature, which we promote within the company among all employees.

ISO – 14000

By implementing the ISO – 14000 Standard into our operations, we are not only committing to complying with the legal minimums required in Serbia and the EU, but we are also setting higher goals, demonstrating good practice to competitors and the rest of the economy in Inđija and the region.

The primary goal on that list is resource conservation and an increased percentage of material reuse. Waste production cannot be completely prevented, but it can be significantly reduced through recycling. Therefore, in the world of corporate responsibility, when it comes to environmental conservation goals, the company Letač proudly adheres to the “3R” concept – REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE.

– By choosing high-quality materials, we reduce the likelihood of wear and tear, extending the lifespan of our products, making our projects more durable. This approach clearly reduces excessive use of resources that are extracted from nature and degrade it.

– By reusing inert materials, primarily concrete and metal components, we reduce the need for producing new materials, which emit certain pollutants into the air, soil, and wastewater during production.

A typical process in which a practical example is clearly visible is the reuse of concrete in the construction process.
